CV Buddy is designed to keep the CV information you enter on your own device. This page explains what information is stored, what external services are involved, and what happens when you use the site.
CV Buddy does not require an account. The personal and career information you enter — such as your name, contact details, education, work history, projects, skills, publications, and other CV content — is stored locally in your browser using browser storage.
CV Buddy does not currently send the contents of your CV to a CV Buddy server. We do not operate a CV database or cloud storage system for the CV information you enter.
CV Buddy currently uses Google Fonts for the website's typography. Your browser may make requests to Google's servers to retrieve these fonts. CV Buddy itself does not send the contents of your CV to Google Fonts.
CV Buddy does not currently have an active analytics service connected to the application. If analytics or other third-party services are added in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated to explain what information is collected and how it is used.
If CV Buddy introduces optional accounts, cloud storage, or synchronisation in the future, this policy will be updated before those features are introduced to explain what information is stored, why it is stored, and how it is handled.
Because your CV is currently stored locally in your browser, CV Buddy cannot recover your CV if your browser data is lost. We recommend downloading a JSON backup whenever you have completed important work.
